The FIRST Northern Boat Show Launches in Liverpool

An exciting new show for serious boat owners, The Northern Boat Show, is launching this June in Liverpool, at the heart of the International Mersey River Festival.

This three-day boat show from 5 to 7 June 2015 will put sailing and power boats in front of true enthusiasts, as well as the 200,000 visitors who attend the Festival. The Albert Dock will showcase the latest sailing and power boats with smaller craft on display in Salthouse Dock and a land-based exhibition on the Salthouse Dock quayside. The Show will cover every aspect of the leisure marine industry from boat builders, sail makers, chandlers and engine manufacturers to marine finance, clothing specialists and navigation equipment.

One of the first to sign up to the Show was Clipper Marine, who will be showcasing a series of Bavaria yachts and motorboats including the Easy 9.7 and the Sport 400HT. Other exhibitors include Hamble Point Yacht Charters, Pantaenius boat insurance, Marine Teak and WiFi Onboard.

Richard Milbourn, Director of the Northern Boat Show said, “Half of all UK boat ownership is north of Birmingham and yet the major UK boat shows are based in Southampton and London. We’re excited to be making the latest in sailing and power boats, as well as marine products and services, more accessible.

Since we announced the Show, we’ve had a fantastic response from potential exhibitors and boat enthusiasts. There is a real appetite for a show of this stature in the north. We’re signing up boat manufacturers and associated marine companies every day and we will be making regular announcements on our website (

Everyone we spoken to so far is hugely excited at the prospect of showcasing their boats, products and services in Liverpool, world renowned for its majestic waterfront and maritime heritage.”

The Show will be free to all Festival visitors and serious boat owners will be able to buy premium tickets to give them exclusive access to the specialist areas. Early Bird tickets for pontoon access to the boats are just £2.50 per day, with the price going to £5 from Friday 1 May. To book tickets, visit
